Au Bois des travestis (Phénix et Colombe) est un projet de création musicale et théâtrale du compositeur Jean-Christophe Marti.
Trois musicien.nes : un percussionniste, une chanteuse, une vièliste, un comédien et un compositeur, sont assemblés pour créer un hommage musical à une communauté de travestis du Bois.
Travestis réellement rencontrés dans son adolescence par Jean-Christophe Marti, invoqués ici poétiquement à travers la mise en musique d’un mystérieux thrène de William Shakespeare The Phoenix and the Turtle, et d’un texte autobiographique du compositeur.
L’expérience des continuités entre voix, instruments et paroles est l’objet d’un voyage charpenté de récits, Nocturne ouvert aux mystères d’un monde peu connu.
Sur le plateau s’éprouveront des continus subtils entre voix et instruments. Voix des musiciennes et voix du comédien, paroles réelles et voix imaginaires des travestis, voix des instruments à peaux, à souffles, à cordes, éventail infini des parlés-chantés…

Transvestites that Jean-Christophe Marti really knew during his adolescence, invoked here poetically through the music of a mysterious threne by William Shakespeare, and an autobiographical text by the composer.
The experience of the continuity between voices, instruments and words is the subject of a journey full of stories, a Nocturnal opened to the mysteries of a little known world.
Voices of the musicians and voice of the actor, real words and imaginary voices of the transvestites, voice of the skins, breaths, strings instruments, infinite range of spoken-sung songs…
